VACANCY: PAYROLL CLERK

Responsible for administering, including calculations of salary payment and registration on Social Security, deductions for pension, medical aid and loans. Assists in the preparation of statutory returns such as PAYE, Social Security and Workmen’s Compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for employees accurately and timely.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Manage employee data and updates in the payroll system.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff.
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and audits.
Complete and submit Social Security, Workmen’s Compensation, tax, medical aid and pension forms on monthly bases.
Complete and submit withdrawal pension forms for terminations.
Reconcile taxes and Social Security against active employees on monthly bases.
Receive financial advance and staff groceries account for approval by the HR Operations Manager
Complete salary details and calculate amount qualified for approval.
Run actual vs schedule clock-inns on weekly bases.
Identify discrepancies and inform the Regional Managers accordingly.
Confirm existing employees and send to Branch/Unit Manager for confirmation.
Check and verify with Branch/Unit Manager non-clock-inns and leave weekly.
Follow up on leave approvals and clock-in amendments.
Receive Garnishee deductions and submit timeously.
Verify salary submissions against reports monthly.
Verify variance reports on monthly bases.
Check and verify hours worked against payroll on monthly bases.
Compile salary file monthly for signing off.
Submit monthly schedule 3rd party deductions before the 7th
Reconcile and submit funeral cover Bonlife for deduction.
Receive and submit: AOD till shortages and Termination/appointment forms
Complete internal claims for outsourced payroll for submission
Ensure timeously delivery of pay slips
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
