OVERALL AIM AND SUMMARY OF JOB
Compile and monitor data with regard to solar projects per store, maintenance, readings, and municipal accounts of the branches and electrical usage of the shops.
The key to an efficient solar system lies as much in its monitoring as in its construction. The monitoring of electricity and water usage is central to effective cost management of these resources.
KRA’s
CORRECTNESS OF DATA ON THE SYSTEM
- Incumbent must compile/ensure that s/he has a database of all solar installations at shops, which may include purchase, installation and financing costs
- Incumbent must compile/ensure that all municipal accounts of branches/business units are on the system to ensure correct and effective monitoring of water and electricity usage.
MONITORING OF SOLAR INSTALLATIONS’ USAGE
- Record solar electricity usage/readings per store/business unit.
- Through monitoring identify early detection of issues before they become problems, safety and compliance.
- Under the guidance of the CFO develop a database to assist with predictive analyses in regard to matters such as capitalizing on peak hours, maximizing energy yield, optimization and predictive maintenance.
- The incumbent may be required to calculate ROI on installed solar systems.
MONITORING MUNICIPAL ACCOUNTS
- Monitor municipal accounts of all stores.
- Detect variances in water and electricity usage and bring to the attention of the CFO.
- Monitor Municipal Rates & Taxes and advise the CFO on possible discrepancies
GENERAL
- Maintain documentation regarding processes and operations.
- Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams.
- All possible and actual losses of company assets (stock, cash, equipment, vehicles, furniture, solar panels, etc.) reported immediately to insurance administrator.
JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- NQA Level 3 Certificate in Data Capturing and Analytics recommended
EXPERIENCE
- At least one-year experience in data capturing
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Computer skills – MS Office
- Good understanding of methodologies and procedures
- Applying expertise and technology
