Woermann Brock & Co. invites applications for the position of Senior Analyst Developer. This is a highly specialized role requiring extensive experience in enterprise ERP and retail operational systems. Only candidates who meet all requirements below will be considered.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 15 years’ hands-on experience in large-scale ERP environments, with demonstrable expertise.
CORE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced proficiency in OpenEdge Progress 4GL and the Progress Database, including system analysis, optimisation, troubleshooting, and long-term support of production environments.
- Proven experience working within high-volume, multi-site retail ecosystems (100+ locations), preferably in African or SADC markets.
- Strong competency in RESTful system integration, API architecture, automation frameworks, and workflow orchestration (e.g., n8n).
- Full-stack development exposure, including:
- Node.js, Express, Vue.js, PrimeVue
- Modular system architecture and legacy-to-modern migration methodologies
ADDITIONAL PLATFORM EXPERIENCE
- Applicants should be familiar with retail and financial platforms such as Sage X3, and MIP.
- A solid working knowledge of Progress, MySQL, MS SQL, and Oracle databases is essential.

- Support mission-critical retail systems in development, testing, and production environments.
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical capability, stability under pressure, and consistent delivery within a high-transaction, time-sensitive operational landscape.
